Hi Martin
I know i have asked you this before, but PC gremlins nicked your reply :(

What recording gear do you use?
I have settled on a BOSS1600CD Digital Recorder for my crimbo present........What do "The Sky use? and how easy do you find using it?

And a bit of advice if i may.......How difficult is it to get your head around computer recording? My Brother has Pro Tools, and seeing him nearly throwing his PC out of the window has put me off of the computer way!

Cheers Mate
Ian

Hi Ian,

I use a KORG D16 (16 track HD Recorder) at the moment.
But... I'm likely to use Pro Tools 7.4 for the album.
The KORG is very easy to use and has a great sound.

The BOSS you are getting is a great recorder also in fact our "Only Love" CD was recorded on the cheaper 8 track version.

I like both methods of recording, it's easier to record on a dedicated machine, like the BOSS or KORG, because your not relying on the power of your PC.

Having said that Pro Tools on the right PC (or Mac), is much more flexable, and it's easier to transport to a bigger "Pro" studio should you need too.

Hope this helps!

:)

Martin

Cheers Martin mate :)
Good to know that you rate the BR1600CD, i would have been mortified if you had said something like "WARNING: TheBR16000 is a pile of crap" ;D

Will probably be brave enough to dip into the PC way eventually! :)
